How to use Hot Wax.

Hoe gebruik je hot wax?

Hot Wax is a wax that takes advantage of the physical property that liquids shrink slightly dei cooling. Hot wax becomes hard when cold and when you heat it it becomes liquid. It is applied liquid and while cooling on the hair, the wax will shrink slightly. This shrinking firmly anchors the hairs in the resin. When you remove the cooled and hardened resin, these anchored hairs come with it.

Benefits of waxing with Hot Wax

Hot wax is not sticky, but encapsulates hair. Because the Hot wax does not stick, it therefore does not stick to the skin. Therefore, this wax type is perfect for more sensitive areas such as armpits, pubic area, bikini line and Brazilian.

Waxing with Hot Wax

1. Heat Hot wax with a wax warmer

Turn the wax heater to the highest setting and fill it to 2/3 with Hot Wax Wax Beans (pellets). Let the wax melt completely on the highest setting for about 15 minutes. Turn the thermostat back to a medium setting and stir the wax thoroughly with a wax spatula until an even, honey-like substance forms. The Hot Wax is now ready to use. You can leave the heater on this setting throughout the day, but remember to stir or close the lid occasionally between wax treatments.

Temperature check

Always test the temperature of the wax on the inside of your wrist first.

2. Preparation for waxing

Cleanse and degrease the skin with SOOOO FRESH skin cleanser. This lotion causes the hairs to detach from the skin and stand up straight. Make sure the skin is thoroughly dry before you start waxing.

3. How do you apply the wax?

Dip a wax spatula into the Hot Wax so that there is a generous amount on the spatula. Use a new spatula each time (no double dipping!). Iron off one side of the spatula, keep turning with the spatula to prevent leaking.

Apply the Hot Wax in a slightly thicker wax pad to skin than the film wax. Use the rounded side of the spatula and apply some pressure. Apply with the direction of hair growth. Make sure the edges remain slightly thicker so that the wax can be easily removed.

4. How do you remove the wax?

Wait until the wax is no longer sticky, but also not fully cured. Lightly press the wax to the on the hood. Stretch the skin and loosen the thickened end of the wax, which will be your handle. Remove the wax in a quick flowing motion, against the direction of hair growth, parallel to the skin. Immediately apply counter pressure with your hand on the waxed surface to reduce the pain.

5. Finishing Touch

If necessary, repeat step the previous steps. If necessary, apply the wax once against the direction of hair growth.

6. Aftercare

Cleanse the skin with Soooo Fresh Skin Cleaners, this closes the pores. Condition and soften skin with Oh So Softening Soothing Cream. This cream moisturizes, cools and softens the skin.

7. After waxing

Boil the wax 2 or 3 times a week on the highest setting of the wax heater to prevent crystallization. Clean the heater well every day on the outside and on the edges. Pre-fill the heater with wax beads for the next day and turn it off. Packaging empty? Our waxes are packaged in durable packaging. 100% RECYCABLE, SO COMPLETELY SUSTAINABLE!
